Schafer Transfer Geology Scholarship

HISTORY:
The Richard Schafer Memorial Fund was established in 1982 by the geology department at Western Illinois University in memory of Richard Schafer, a geology student who died while attending Geology Summer Field Camp in June 1982. This fund provides scholarships to outstanding students in geology-new freshman scholarship, new transfer scholarship, and summer field camp scholarship.
CRITERIA:
 Completed a minimum of 30 semester hours of college credit at the time of enrollment at WIU with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
 Completed four semester hours of geology/earth sciences at the time of enrollment at WIU with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
