DR. ROBERT F. AND BETTY F. DRUIEN SCHOLARSHIP IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Dr. Druien was a Chair of the Foreign Language Department at WIU, and his wife, Betty was a secretary in the Gradudate Office at WIU. CRITERIA: Must have a declared major in the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Must be currently enrolled in a Chinese class at any level and plan to continue study of Chinese for at least one more semester, Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, Applicants must complete an essay (minimum of 500 words) in English describing their prior experience with foreign languages and how they plan to utilize Chinese in their future academic and/or professional careers.
