PEGGY J. RODEFFER SCHOLARSHIP IN PHYSICS

This scholarship was created to honor Peggy J. Rodeffer, by her husband Frank E. Rodeffer, a 1961 Western Illinois University graduate. Peggy and Frank met while he was a student at WIU and working at the Boy Scout Camp, Camp Pearl, in Tennessee, Illinois. Peggy was a waitress at the Midway Café where Frank would stop each evening for a cup of coffee and some friendly conversation with the young lady who would eventually become his wife for over 48 years.
Peggy was born and raised in Macomb, Illinois and became closely affiliated with WIU because of husband Frank’s love for the University. They both shared a strong belief in helping our nation’s youth and making their lives more meaningful.
This scholarship is a dedication to Peggy. Her life was blessed in so many ways, raising two children and dedicating her life to her family and community. She brought joy to so many people through her friendship. This scholarship recognizes her hard work and perseverance and to the students who share these qualities; individuals who see the importance of working hard and then putting those skills and knowledge to the good of mankind.
