LARRY & REVA EHMEN SCHOLARSHIP

Larry Ehmen was a 1961 Western Illinois University graduate. He worked as a Laboratoiy Assistant while a student at WIU which continued to grow his interest in the sciences.
He continues to have a strong belief in and commitment to helping the nation’s youth and making their lives more meaningful and to ensure students have an opportunity to pursue careers in the physical sciences.
This scholarship is a dedication to Lariy and Reva, their lives and to the students who share these qualities; individuals who see the importance of working hard to achieve an education and then putting those skills and knowledge to the good of mankind.

CRITERIA:
Senior Level Undergraduate or beginning Graduate Student working in the Physical Sciences:
• The primary recipient of this scholarship will be a Senior or beginning Graduate student in good standing with an overall and major GPA of 3.00, with a major in the physical sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, or Physics).
This scholarship may be renewable if the student continues to make satisfactoiy progress.
• Preference will be given to students with financial need and an expressed desire to pursue a career in the science field.
• Students must:
-Have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale (overall and a science major)
-Fill out an application
