NEIL E. HOOVER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Neil E. Hoover Memorial Scholarship was established in 1987 by Neil’s wife, Lillian Hoover, and family members in his memory. An endowment was signed by Lillian Hoover and the WIU Foundation in 1995. Mr. Hoover was a 1949 WIU graduate and an insuuctor of Industrial Education and Technology at WIU from 1981 until the time of his death in November 1985.

CRITERIA:
• Enrolled full time (minimum 12 semester hours)
• Junior class standing (at least 60 semester hours completed)
• Majoring within the Department of Engineering Technology
• Minimum, 3.0 GPA
• Preference given to students from Schuyler, Brown or Pilce counties. In the event there are no candidates from the tri-county region, the award may be presented to an ET student from Illinois who meets the criteria.
