THE YONAH ALEXANDER SCHOLARSHIP IN COUNTERTERRORISM

This scholarship was established by Professor Dean Alexander and named in honor of his father Dr. Yonah Alexander, a Senior Fellow at the Potomac Institure for Policy Studies and Director of its International Center of Policy Studeies (United States). Dr. Alexander is a pioneer in the interdisciplinary academic study of international terrorism. Concurrently, he is Director of the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies and Co-Director of the Inter-University Center for Legal Studies. Both are consortia of university and think tanks throughout the world. In addition, Professor Alexander is the former Director of Terrorism Studies at George Washington University and the State University of New York, totaling thirty-five years of service.

CRITERIA:

  • Senior
  • Law Enforcement and Justice Administraction (LEJA) Major
  • Homeland Security Minor
  • Completed LEJA 330 and LEJA 414 courses
  • Preference to current/faner law enforcement or military (including ROTC/Reserves)
  • Good judicial standing
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 overall
