DON CRAWFORD SCHOLARSHIP

Dr. Don Crawford was the chair of Media and Educational Technology (now Istructional Design and Technology) at Western Illinois University. The department underwent many name changes though out his tenure at WIU – Audiovisual Education, Instructional Communication and Technology, Learning Resources and Media and Educational Technology.

Dr. Crawford is a Bushnell, IL native and graduated from Western Illinois University with his bachelor and master degrees. He chaired the department under three different names for the year of 1968-1972 and 1975-1992. The account was establised in 1993 upon his retirement of 38 years of service to WIU.

CRITERIA:

  • Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) graduate student.
  • Half-time enrollment (minimum six credit hours).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in IDT program.
  • Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be an IDT faculty member.
  • Preference to students from McDonough County, then surrounding counties.
