MATTHEW H. MCGUINNESS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Matthew H. McGuinness Memorial Scholarship was established in 1989 by Denise Otto McGuinness in memory of her son, Matthew. It is for a Non-Traditional Studies Program student in the physical education area. Matthew was killed in an automobile accident in August 1988. Denise is a 1959 graduate of Western Illinois University.

CRITERIA:
 Kinesiology major
 Non-traditional student (generally a student 25 years of age or older who started college later in life; or one whose education was interrupted and is now returning to campus to complete his or her degree)
 Undergraduate class level and must have completed at least 24 semester hours of coursework at WIU
 Minimum 2.75 GPA
 Demonstrated involvement in the Macomb community.
