School of Computer Sciences United States Veterans or Military Personnel Entrance Award

CRITERIA:
 This award is intended for United States Veterans or Military Personnel
 Incoming freshman, transfer student or new graduate student
 Must be declared Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Information Systems majors, or as a CS graduate student and be registered for courses appropriate for that major in each semester in which this award is received.
 Minimum one year of active duty service is required, and in the case where the applicant was discharged from the Military, an honorable discharge is required.
 Veterans must submit a copy of DD214 Member-4. It is preferable that they also submit documentation containing their ASVAB score, as well as a letter of recommendation from one of their commanding officers, or equivalent military supervisor, or a suitable high ranking officer in the United States military, or a college or university professor that outlines their reliability, skills and promise of academic excellence.
 Active duty students must submit documentation containing their ASVAB score, such as their ERB DA 4037 in the case of an applicant in the Department of the Army, or an equivalent document for other areas of the Military. Students who are on active duty must also submit a letter of recommendation from one of their commanding officers, or equivalent military supervisor, or a suitable high ranking officer in the United States military, or a college or university professor that outlines their reliability, skills and promise of academic excellence in one or more of Cyber Security, information systems, or computer science.
 Official transcripts are required.
 Preference may be given to students with a high ASVAB score or a high college GPA.
