DARRELL AND VIRGINIA DYKSTRA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

The Darrell and Virginia Dykstra Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Professor Darrell Dykstra. Professor Dykstra earned his BA from Harvard in 1967; held a fellowship from the American Research Center in Egypt from 1971-1973, and received his Ph.D. in History from the University of Michigan in 1977. He was Professor of Middle East History at WIU from 1977 to 2006 and was the Hisotry Department Graduate Advisor from 1987-2005.

CRITERIA:
-New or returning full-time graduate student in History
-3.25 GPA in History courses previous to application
-Letter of application
-Letter of recommendation from faculty (minimum one)
