ALBERT & DOROTHY BURGARD SCHOLARSHIP IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

This account was established through a bequest of the estate of Dorothy Burgard. Dorothy graduated from WIU in 1942 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. In 1949, she received a MS degree in education.

CRITERIA:
Majoring in Elementary Education
Be admitted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP)
Minimum GPA 2.75
Preference to a resident of Hancock or McDonough County
Write an essay on “characteristics of the teachers that influenced you to become a teacher”
