HELEN BUCKLEY SCHOLARSHIP

The Helen Buckley Memorial Scholarship was established in 1991 by Ms. Buckley for students majoring in elementary education and reading. Ms. Buckley, Helen, served Western as a faculty member in the educational foundation department and at Western High School for many years. She later became scholarship coordinator. She retired in 1987. She dedicated her life to helping young people.

CRITERIA:
 Elementary Education major
 Freshman or sophomore class level
 Minimum 3.6 GPA
 Rank in top 10% of graduating class
 Demonstrated excellence through academics and/or activities
 Preference given to applicants from Bureau County, IL
