Maureen G. Marx Undergraduate CSD Excellence Scholarship

This account was established in 2011 by Dr. Maureen Marx on the occasion of her retirement from Western Illinois University after nearly 30 years of as an educator and administrator. Maureen was a Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) professor at WIU for several years and was the CSD Chairperson at the time the account was established. Dr. Marx created the fund with a significant personal contribution and also organized a retirement fundraising event to complement her gift. Additional funds were raised from individuals in her honor upon her retirement. The CSD Department will undertake activities to initially raise monies to fund this account at the endowment level.
