Schafer Freshman Geology Scholarrship

HISTORY:
The Richard Schafer Memorial Fund was established in 1982 by the geology department at Western Illinois University in memory of Richard Schafer, a geology student who died while attending Geology Summer Field Camp in June 1982. This fund provides scholarships to outstanding students in geology-new freshman scholarship, new transfer scholarship, and summer field camp scholarship.
CRITERIA:
 Entering freshman
 Minimum composite ACT of 24 or minimum 3.2 high school GPA
 Geology major
 Leadership and activities will be considered
