Goff Alumni Elementary/Secondary Education Scholarship

HISTORY:
This scholarship was established by Ray and Diana Goff in April 2002 to provide scholarship assistance to talented and needy students enrolled in teacher education. Both Ray and Diana Goff graduated from Western Illinois University receiving their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Ray Goff taught in Macomb schools and served as the principal at Macomb Junior/Senior High School. He retired in 2000. Ray passed away in 2015. Diana Goff also taught in public schools in the region and taught in the department of curriculum and instruction at Western Illinois University until retiring in 2012.

CRITERIA:
• Enrolled full time in the Teacher Education option
• Have completed at least 60 semester hours by the conclusion of the spring semester
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Financial need is a consideration
• Preference will be given to applicants who are currently employed on or off-campus while pursuing their degree
• Preference to a member of the Goff family or a Macomb High graduate
