The Dunstan Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Thomas (Tom) & Maria Dunstan in loving memory of their daughter, Kristin. Tom and Maria have been educators for their entire lives with Tom a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at WIU and Maria a teacher and administrator in the Macomb public school system. Kristin was a graduate of Macomb Senior High School and later worked at Western Illinois University. Kristin was a member of the Performing Arts Society Board and a big supporter of music, theater, and of the arts in general.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY:
• Graduate of Macomb Senior High School, Macomb, Illinois
• Minimum 3.5 GPA at Macomb High School
• Preference to applicants who plan to major in teacher education, biological sciences, music or any of the performing arts
• Complete a required essay (no longer than one page) stating why they are applying for the scholarship; why they wish to attend Western Illinois University; and what activities they participated in at their high school and/or their community
