The Cynthia Monkman Scholarship for Clinical Excellence
Jack and Marjorie Monkman established a trust with the University of Illinois. At their deaths 1/2 of the trust was sent to Western. Both their children were WIU alumni and they set up this scholarship in their honor. Cynthia Monkman was a 1982 graduate of Western with an MS in Health Education. Their son, John, is a 1982 graduate of Western with a BB in marketing. Cynthia passed away and her parents asked that the trust be used to establish a memorial in her memory.
