Agnes Brody and Sue Lambert Kinesiology Scholarship

This scholarship endowment fund has been established by Dr. Jill M. Brody to honor her husband, Bill Lambert, a long-time faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology at Western Illinois University. The R. William (Bill) Lambert Kinesiology Scholarship will provide financial assistance to a junior or senior WIU student majoring in Kinesiology. Bill Lambert has been teaching in the Kinesiology Department at WIU since 1998. Bill has excelled as an educator engaging students in the mastery of human anatomy and physiology. He received his undergraduate degree fromLoyolaMarymount University and his PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Southern California but has spent over half his life in West Central Illinois. Dr. Brody, established this ‘scholarship in Bill’s name to honor his many years of teaching at WIU and to celebrate his retirement: in a way that so generously benefits future students in the Department ofIKinesiology. The scholarship was renamed by their daughters to honor their grandmothers.

CRITERIA:
• Applicant must be a junior or senior WIU student majoring in Kinesiology.
• A GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Financial need is not a consideration and the scholarship will be awarded based on merit
• Preference given to a WIU student-athlete participating in any WIU intercollegiate sport.
• Activity/involvement within the Department ofKinesiology and/or the community.
