Wrenn R. and Evelyn J. Luman Grice Scholarship

The Wrenn R. and Evelyn J. Grice Scholarship was established in 1985-86 by Dr. George L. Grice to honor his parents, Wrenn Routh and Evelyn Janette Luman Grice. Both Wrenn and Evelyn were WIU four-year graduates, 1938 and 1940 respectively, with Evelyn receiving her M.S. degree in Education in 1970. Collectively, they taught for 50 years. In addition, all three of their children—Carol, George, and Leanne—were WIU graduates and are teachers. Wrenn’s mother, Mrs. Jessie F. Routh Grice, was a 1929 WIU graduate.

Criteria:
 Applicant must be an incoming high school graduate in the upper 25% of his/her class and have an ACT composite score of 25 or higher, or be currently enrolled/incoming transfer student having a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
 Be a full-time student at Western Illinois University planning to teach at the elementary or secondary level.
 Be a resident of Fulton or Knox Counties.
