ANNA MARIE GRUBER SCHOLARSHIP

Dr. Gruber established this account in 1974. She served as Chairperson of the Department of Elementary Education from its inception in 1968 until her retirement in 1978. Dr. Gruber was a person with a unique background. She served in the elementary school as a teacher and curriculum coordinator for a number of years. She then completed her doctoral degree and began teaching at the University where she imparted her knowledge, enthusiasm and love for teaching children to those who were fortunate enough to be in her class. Not only was she a respected teacher, but she held a high degree of esteem among her colleagues because of the professional manner in which she conducted each and every activity in which she engaged.

CRITERIA:
 Elementary Education major who will have completed their sophomore year, with at least two semesters remaining before graduation
 Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
 Demonstrate need
 Show potential as a teacher
