Women's Studies Undergraduate Scholarship

Dean Susan Martinelli-Fernandez is providing the Department of Women’s Studies with $1000 from the College of Arts and Sciences general scholarship fund to be used for a Women’s Studies scholarship. These criteria are applicable only to the funds provided by the College of Arts and Sciences, and not to the Women’s Studies Undergraduate Scholarship Fund in general.

CRITERIA:
 Women’s Studies Major
 Will be enrolled both semesters of the academic year of award
 At least 30 semester hours complete by the fall semester in which the award is given
 Minimum 3.5 GPA
 Successfully completed two WIU Women’s Studies courses
 Submission of an essay of 400-500 words explaining the student’s interest in Women’s Studies, what she or he has gained from taking Women’s Studies courses, plans for the future, and examples of activism on issues of relevance to the discipline of women’s students and/or within the department.
