Mickey R. Price Scholarship for Accountancy

Mickey R. Price earned a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy and Information Systems from Western Illinois University in 1975. While a student, he received a full tuition talent grant through the School of Music and was also a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Understanding how scholarships helped him attain his own degree, he chose to give back to help future students. Mickey earned an Executive MBA from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University in 1990. Mickey has served as a Church Administrator, and now the Chief Financial Officer, at the Paradise Valley United Methodist Church in Arizona since 2002. Prior to this role, he served as the Corporate Controller for Chickasha Cotton Oil Company and a Division Controller for multiple manufacturing plants for Dean Foods.

Mickey is also active in community work as he co-founded Forever Young Musical Enterprises Inc., a non-profit organization preserving and performing Big Band jazz and swing music. He also serves in various leadership capacities and board roles within the United Methodist Church, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Church Network, and the Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services, a nonprofit organization providing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Mickey is married to Betty Brunlieb Price and is the proud father of two wonderful adult children. He remains active in the Percussive Arts Society-Arizona Chapter, where he also established a student scholarship program.
